The mission of ALCPL is to welcome all people and strive to inspire, celebrate, and support lifelong learning, literacy, and creativity. We aim to provide equal access to information, ideas and knowledge through books, programs, and digital resources as pillars of the freedom to read, learn, and discover.

The Board of Trustees typically meets every 3rd Wednesday at noon in the Steelcase Board Room.  In accordance with Alabama’s Open Meetings act, public notice of board meetings will be posted at least seven days in advance. Notices will be posted on the library’s website on the calendar of events and a physical notice will be posted on the community notice boards located in the library lobby.
