Free Book Delivery for the Home-bound

At Your Doorstep is a free book delivery service provided to home-bound residents of Limestone County. Books and other materials are delivered by Library Staff, The Limestone Council on Aging (in Athens city limits) or the US Postal Service (in Limestone County.) There are never any overdue fines, shipping costs, or any other fees for home-bound patrons.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Be an Athens city or Limestone County resident.
  • Hold a valid Athens-Limestone Public Library card. (We can sign you up over the phone or send an application by fax if needed.)
  • Be unable to access the library due to a temporary or long-term physical or medical disability.
